When I saw the brief trailer for Trey Songz’s “Yo Side of the Bed” starring Keri Hilson, I knew that it would hit close to home. And now that the full video has been released, I know now that I was pretty much right. This visual shows the other side of the military life. Not the stuff you see on television about the war, but the experience that the people who have to say goodbye to their soldiers have once they are left behind. It hits home for me because I’ve experienced it. I’ve said goodbye to my spouse as he readied to go away for war. I’ve not slept in the bed we shared for months because I couldn’t stand to be near the smell he left behind on the sheets or even have to lay next to an empty bed side that should be warm from his flesh lying there.
The premise for this visual is deep — deeper than most people will understand. I understand it however, because is my reality. Now, although this song this visual accompanies isn’t all that great (in fact, I only heard the track for the first time a couple of days ago), this video moved me. In a day when videos are inundated with booty’s and scantily clad women, I appreciate the intention behind this. Take a look at it above.

That was a good video.. i agree with you im not really sure about the music with it..but its a fear we all have but we never really talk about… Thank you for posting this
this video was very touching and yes we do need to keep our soldier in our prayers…
