Video Soul: Musiq Soulchild Is A Silky ‘Silky Soul’ Singer

by Mignon on May 6, 2010

Have you ever had a moment where you really wanted to repeat a time in your life? The 70s? 80s? Hell, even the 90s? I know I have. Some of those years, when I think back upon them now, bring back so many good memories. And sometimes, it’s nice to be able to remember things that make you smile and the people who helped you out along the way. “Silky Soul” by Maze featuring Frankie Beverly is one of those songs that will make you feel all warm and bubbly inside. You know, the same feeling you used to get sitting on the stoop in the sizzling summer heat or running to the ice cream truck to get a bomb pop and hot sausage. Oh yes, this track is all kinds of smooth and Musiq Soulchild’s rendition is just as brilliant as the first. He offers this visual for the track which gives us a glimpse into the good ole days while still giving us all that goodness Musiq never seems to leave out of one of his tracks. This kind of tribute is right up his alley and coincides perfectly with his style. I enjoyed every minute of this visual as I’m sure you will too.
