Sade Fights For ‘Love’ In the Wild Wild West

by Mignon on January 12, 2010

Just when we thought it couldn’t get any better, the queen of the quiet storm Sade releases the video to accompany the leading single from her upcoming album entitled “Soldier of Love”. A decade has past since we’ve last experienced a Sade video and truth be told, it was worth every minute of the wait. In a flurry of clouds, smoke and precision choreography, Sade emerges as beautiful and as timeless as ever. Just take one look at her and you’ll have a hard time believing she’s a day over 30 years old. Sade clearly has the key to the fountain of youth. She’s absolutely radiant.

This video is a militant look at what it looks like to fight for the one thing that everyone spends their lives trying to attain — love. In an age where most music videos have nothing to do with the song, this video is a refreshing venture from the norm. With dreamlike imaginary filled to the brim with pulsating drums and futuristic wild, wild west flavor, Sade takes us into a battleground where the only sounds that can be heard are the smooth, seductive orders flowing effortlessly from her mouth. This is an intriguing contrast of struggle and sensuality that beautifully captivates the struggle to find love.
