Maxwell Covers ‘Lady in My Life’ at Grammy Nominations

by Mignon on December 6, 2009

Maxwell. What can you really say about him except that his talent transcends gimmicks, drama and anything else that artists use to make themselves notable. He’s a true artist and one that we’ve seen quite a bit lately. After a seven year hiatus, I don’t think anyone is getting tired of seeing or hearing one of the few male vocalist in the R&B game that can make a grown woman fall all over herself with fits of lust. Yea, he’s just that good. He’s been recognized for that by being nominated for six Grammy’s for his latest album BLACKsummers’ night. During CBS’ Grammy nomination primetime special, Maxwell gave a special tribute to Michael Jackson by performing the classic “Lady in My Life”. The moment he opens his mouth several women are seen standing in pools of lustful excitment, you know this performance is going to be on point. And especially when he lets us know that he’d paint the toenails of the special lady in his life. He definitely wrapped up one of the greatest musical comebacks of the year with this stirring rendition. I know MJ is somewhere smiling. Enjoy.
