Here’s the official music video for Angie Stone’s new single “I Ain’t Hearin’ U,” directed by Bille Woodruff. Under normal circumstances, I would be all over anything Angie puts out. But for some reason, I am not loving this. Maybe because it doesn’t sport the soul that can usually be found dripping from her vocals or maybe because her hair is pressed out. I know, that’s a weird statement to make but that ‘fro was all a part of the reason why I loved her. This track is okay but I wouldn’t mind something with the flavor “Brotha” had. Now that, is my jam!
Anyway, the track will appear on the Stax Records album UNEXPECTED, in stores November 23rd, 2009.
