Those were Rihanna’s words as she sat down with Diane Sawyer in her exclusive interview where she will finally give her account of what happened that faithful night earlier this year. She tells the December issue of Glamour magazine (in which she is named Glamour Woman of the Year) that the media attention surrounding the incident was out of this world. “It was like, ‘What, there are helicopters circling my house? There are 100 people in my cul-de-sac? What do you mean, I can’t go back home?’”
When asked how she felt once she learned that the photo of her bruised and battered face has been leaked to the Internet, she says, “It was humiliating; that is not a photo you would show to anybody. I felt completely taken advantage of. I felt like people were making it into a fun topic on the Internet, and it’s my life. I was disappointed, especially when I found out the photo was [supposedly leaked by] two women.” She also dishes in the interview that Chris was “definitely my first big love.”
It’s sad to see that story turn out the way it did. They seemed to be so happy from the outside looking in. That just goes to show you — not everything is as it seems! Don’t forget to tune into the three part interview Thursday and Friday mornings on ABC’s Good Morning America, culminating with the 20/20 interview Friday night at 10est.
Although I’m not surprised she chose to speak out right before her new album Rated R is to drop, I am definitely interested in what she has to say. She definitely speaks the truth when she says, “This happened to me. … It can happen to anyone!”
